off day
smiles.
thank God for mondays.
smiles.
You
felt Your presence
and You called out my name
and then gave the best response i could think of..
(or that was just natural reflex)
i respond with my best smile
hoping that it would touch Your heart
did it?
musing in the crowd
during service
mostly good thoughts,
(just remembered jeff always said i look pensive)
was looking at the l.e.d. during altar call
and saw a scene
where the security guys were literally Running
to make it in time
to catch the falling ones
while pastor just laid hands to touch them
then i felt so moved
with this thought in mind
This is why i'm in City Harvest
since being in ministry for just over a year
thank God for the first small step He urged me to take
which then opened so many other doors
doors to learn new things
meet many many new people
i've caught a glimpse of the inner workings of the church
it's really the selfless men and women
and it all started with one man and one woman
who heard the call of God
who used their gifts and talents for the god who gave them that
who were not afraid to make things happen
who were not willing to please man Instead of God
people who really love God
otherwise
who would be in the right mind
to do all these time consuming stuff
burn their weekend
be it to do media, sound, band playing, back up vocals, ushering, logistics
for a crowd of 8,000 per show
all for what?
once a friend who visited asked, "so is the choir paid to stand on stage to sing?"
"No my friend.
let's just say we're paid in a different currency."
heh.
For even Jesus Christ did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many..
