WHAT A WEEK

MONDAY
Think i've never been that nervous all my life.
Not even in front of PK or TYP.
Guess the brave front shattered the moment i stood up, put my bible on the stand
As my vision started to blur,
my voice revealed my inner, quivering spirit.
7 mins moved in a glacier pace,
while my thoughts went through like a bullet train.
That day, I prayed and seek God like never before.

TUESDAY
Good. If not good, it's better.
Word was revelational and properly structured.
Wished every afternoon was like Monday afternoons.
Where I could sit at starbucks, pray, read, plan
and converse with God over a cuppa.

WEDNESDAY
WHAT?! It's only Wednesday?
This is really a test of endurance.
Neymind. I WILL PREVAIL.

THURSDAY
The saying is true -
Tired people change the world.

FRIDAY
The mind was desperately willing but the flesh turned weak.
Took MC from SOT, but went on to get some work done.
Nearing midnight, it SUDDENLY dawned on me that PK is not in town!
Who's doing sermon then?!
TYP! --- That means one more sermon to go!!!
R E V E L A T I O N.
Took med and went to get all the sleep i can get.

SATURDAY
As i quietly observed TYP prepare the word,
i was kinda glad i wasn't in his shoes
but became very grateful for my pastor.

If there's only 1 thing learnt this week,
Preaching is really an art.
more than that, you need the anointing.
otherwise, every week as you stand in front of tens
or hundreds or thousands of people
and you'll preach nothing but a dry & uninspiring word.
nothing revelational, nothing life-changing.
just making sound and blowing wind.

And preaching is about sharing, unreservedly.
It is giving.
And every revelation is fresh, it's exciting.
It brings the sparker to the preacher's eyes.

And so, my job would be
to faciliate the vision of my pastors to bring their message across
throught visuals
It's exciting, it's stressful,
It's seeing my pastors behind the scenes,
It's having a first hand glimpse at the word,
It's a privilege.
